Hello, my name is Kellen Blackman and I'm a junior at Boise State University. I originally went to Colorado State University for a year and a half, but then had to switch back to an in-state college because of tuition. During that time I enjoyed living off bagels out of the nearest dumpster, and sleeping in a tunnel underneath a dorm. Needless to say I learned a lot about life and finances. Sophomore year I was hired at a Wendeys a half mile from CSU and thought about dropping out when I realized perhaps I could do better for myself. I'm now living in a nice home, working at Boise Fry Company and am two years away from majoring in Mathematics. My dream is to eventually become a math teacher in a third world country. In order to get to that goal, I hope to get into the peace corps, travel the world, and get as much out of life as I can. I absolutely love helping people learn, especially if they haven't had the same privileges that I've been given. This is the main reason I signed up with the HEP program, and needless to say I'm really looking forward to all the work I get to put into it.
Hi Kellen:
ReplyDeleteIt's good seeing you again. I have a few friends that went through the peace corp, and they all loved the experience. I'm wishing you the best of luck on your career plans, and I'm looking forward to a productive semester!
This seemed to be the best way to write to everyone in this group. First off I feel the need to apologize. I haven't given this my 100% effort so far, and I'm not one to make excuses so no matter the case you all deserve better. I'm withdrawing from this class due to being overloaded between school, work, and personal problems. I hope all goes well from here for each and every one of you. I pray this will be a successful class for you, and I feel like if you are able to put forth 100% effort, you will get a lot out of it. Thank you for being a great group, even though I feel like I just barely you all. Good job on all the posts, and if you are willing I'd like to still be able to follow and read these posts, because I find them all very interesting and worth thinking about. God Bless.

Are you sure this is the only solution? I really hate to see you drop the course if there is anything we can do to help you? So you don't have to drop the class.
