Reflective Blog
Throughout the semester I have seen my research skills get a lot better in many ways. Before, I would have Googled everything I was searching for, hoping to find an academic paper to pop up somewhere in that massive load of information. Instead I know use many of the libraries resources, which seem more reliable and have a more meaningful idea than say what Wikipedia, could offer me. With my Service Learning Project being the High School Equivalency Program there are many different branches off of this topic like immigration, employment, Arizona’s Reforms, and so many more. As far as finding information on just the High School Equivalency Program you really need to know how to do the research. You have to actually go out and find the information there is no Google or any other search engine to help you. Since I have learned these skills I have realized that my other classes are easier to find information on. I feel like everything is going good and I am able to now adequately use the resources available to me the best I can. With these newly required skills and changes in my writing, I will use them to inspire myself to accomplish something else whether it is a research paper or a new idea for a marketing projecting. I can’t wait for the rest of the semester to see what new skills there are that I can acquire.
